NFOSTONERS is (FREEWARE) small program designed to read .NFO file/ASCII ART with color customizable on several box drawing character.

This is my first public release and you might be found bug(s) there. So do not feel sorry, and..

Designed for Windows. Only tested on win XP sp1, sp2.
However, i need all information regarding successfully running this software in other except win XP, please email me.

  • The Quick way to export your style:
    do with this commandline:
    reg.exe export HKCU\Software\NFOSTONERS\Scheme ThisIsMySyle.reg
  • The second way:
    Then you have to switch to regedit.exe :).
    • Point to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NFOSTONERS\Scheme
    • Goto menu File-->Export..
    • Fill your Style name.

  + new: Reload file. Useful while you editing .NFO file with any text editor, and want to see the result by NFOSTONERS directly.
  * fix: improve: Email hyperlink. Allow digit domain.
  * fix: improve: Remember Open dialog init dir.
Now NFOSTONERS "Open Dialog" initial directory is always start from last saved .NFO file directory.
  + new: improve: discharge "<<<" (3 or more "<" char) and "<<--" from Extended_o2 TAG. This prevent from ugly painting because of unclosed TAG or some .NFO artist ASCII style.
  * fix: improve: Webpage hyperlink now accept "+" char.
  * fix: disable Box select on SHIFT+key (change to normal select mode).
  + new: add 2 more Scheme. Hope you boyz and girlz gonna like it :).
  + new: Uninstall option (remove registry entries and try to re-register filetype (.NFO and .DIZ) created with NFOSTONERS.
  + new: Add more enhanced option to "Most Recently Viewed" dialog.

I think this is useful, if you want part of your info to be highlight by NFOSTONERS.

This New tag will let you execute file on your drive.
(note: Please activate your Virus scanner, before you execute the file).

  * fix: Improve: Hyperlink (HTTP and File Hyperlink, except Email Hyperlink) which contain "Space Char" still valid as long as between "Quote Char".
  + new: SHIFT key select Feature. Work both on "Normal/Box selection mode".
You can combine it with keyboard direction key such as:
(key_left, key_right, key_up, key_down, key_pageup, key_pagedown, key_home and key_end).
(note: Please Turn OFF "Direct Scrolling mode". If you don't, you will see an ugly blinking result).
